The creative office of Studio Samuel Tomatis imagines objects and concepts at the crossroads of industrial design and science, manufacturing processes and scales of production, nature and technology. The Studio explores new usage scenarios in response to societal and environmental change. It also supports companies through consulting and expertise in eco-design and design fiction, to question uses, anticipate change and open up new perspectives.
Know-how
The Studio designs objects and develops its own materials.
This dual expertise makes it possible to approach each project as a whole, from the material to the final form. Design projects can stem from a material development or answer a specific brief. In both cases, the Studio designs with materials, manufacturing processes and the scale of production in mind from the very start.
From prototype to final piece, the Studio also masters the manufacturing and post-production stages, making it possible to test, adjust and validate each object before it is produced.
Demonstrators, one-off pieces, small series or industrial production: each project is developed according to its context, its uses and its ambitions.
Galleries, collectors, publishers, brands and companies call on the Studio to imagine singular objects at the crossroads of design, material and innovation, with a forward-looking vision of environmental issues.
